Why aren't applications showing in Self Service?


Self Service  is the primary source for school related applications at PLC and Scotch. However, sometimes Self Service  may not show any/all applications that should be available to you. Remember, some apps have different restrictions (meaning only some accounts can access them), however if you know that you normally have access to a certain program and it is not showing up in Self Service , you will need to Self Recon. This process is essentially an inventory update, and makes sure all relevant applications are made available to you.


  1. Restart your computer.
  2. Open Self Service  and login using your Student User ID (UID) and Password.
  3. Once on the home page, click on the Self Help tab towards the right. Alternatively, you can search for 'Self Recon' in the search bar.

  4. Click on Self Recon.

  5. Run the recon process by clicking on the Recon button.

  6. Once completed, Restart the Self Service  application. You should now have all relevant applications available to you.
