Q. Why aren't applications showing in Self Service?
Self Service is the primary source for school related applications at PLC and Scotch. However, sometimes Self Service may not show any/all applications that should be available to you. Remember, some apps have different restrictions (meaning only some accounts can access them), however if you know that you normally have access to a certain program and it is not showing up in Self Service , you will need to Self Recon. This process is essentially an inventory update, and makes sure all relevant applications are made available to you.
- Restart your computer.
- Open Self Service and, if necessary, login using your Student User ID (UID) and Password.
- On your Self Service home page, you should see Self Recon in the Featured section. Click Install or Reinstall, and the process will run.
- Once completed, Restart the Self Service application. You should now have all relevant applications available to you. If you find that the issue persists, please contact the Scotch Tech Centre.
