Answer
Taking a screen shot in Windows can be done a few different ways. Depending on whether you have a Macintosh (Mac) keyboard or not.
Windows Keyboard:
The images shown may not necessarily be exactly the same as your own keyboard. The keys will be in similar positions however.
- To take a screen shot and save it as a file.
- Press the Windows button, and the PrtScn button on your keyboard.
- The screen shot will appear in your screenshots folder, which is located in your pictures folder.
- To take a screen shot and have it copied so you can paste it wherever.
- Press PrtScn.
- Press PrtScn.
- To take a screen shot of only one window.
- Press Alt + PrtScn.
- The image will be copied and you can paste it wherever you would like.
Mac Keyboard:
To take a screenshot on a Windows computer using a Mac keyboard, follow these steps.
- To capture the entire screen.
- Press Function (fn) + Shift + F11.
- Press Function (fn) + Shift + F11.
- To capture the front most window.
- Press Option (alt) + Function (fn) + Shift + F11.
- Press Option (alt) + Function (fn) + Shift + F11.
