Answer

The FAQs target audience will depict your use of YouTube or ClickView to embed a video. You will use YouTube for videos that are added to the Public ask.PLCScotch. ClickView is used for Staff and ILT Only videos - you will also need to make sure that the Video Rating is set to R.

 

YouTube  – Public Facing FAQs

To embed a YouTube Video into your FAQ, first you will need to Upload the Video to the Scotch Library YouTube Account

Once you have completed this step, you will be free to embed the video into your FAQ page. To locate the embed code and embed the video:

  1. Find the video in YouTube . You may need to use the My Channel function.

     
  2. Click on the video to Open it.

     
  3. Select Share.

     
  4. Click Embed from the popup menu.

     
  5. The Embed Code will then Appear, and settings can be customized from this window. Once all of your Preferences have been Set, Copy the Embed Code – you will need it for Step 9. Ensure to copy the entire code, as only part of it is visible in the box.

     
  6. Click on the Media Tab in ask.PLCSCOTCH FAQ you are creating

     
  7. Select + Add Media Item.

     
  8. Choose a Display Title for this Clip.

     
  9. You will now need to Add the Embed Code to the field. Please be aware that the embed code you have copied will have to be Integrated into this piece of Code: <div class="embed-responsive embed-responsive-16by9">YOUR CODE FROM STEP 5 or 6</div>

    The Complete Code should read: <div class="embed-responsive embed-responsive-16by9"><iframe frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen width="1280" height="720" src="https://online.clickview.com.au/share/embed?shareCode=22b0188f&a=false"></iframe></div> 
     
  10. You will need to note is the Shape of the Video. If it is Rectangular (most common), you will not need to change the code above. However, if the film is Square, you will need to Replace 16by9 with 4by3,  and the Width to 640 ad the Height to 360, so that the code should read: <div class="embed-responsive embed-responsive-4by3"><iframe frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen width="640" height="360" src="https://online.clickview.com.au/share/embed?shareCode=22b0188f&a=false"></iframe></div>

 

ClickView  – Internal/Staff FAQs

To embed a ClickView  video , first you will need to Upload the video to ClickView Online - This will Push the Video to the Publisher. This will alert the ClickView  machine at both schools where you can then approve and publish the video. For more information regarding this process please refer to this FAQ: How do I publish ClickView videos. During this process, ensure that the video has been Rated R and placed into the Correct Folder. You will need to allow an hour or so for the film to be indexed to the ClickView  Online SitePlease note that PLC staff need to speak to Doug de Cock when organising anything to do with ClickView .

 

Once the film has been indexed, you can Access the Embed Code from ClickView  Online:

  1. Open ClickView  Online and Select the video you wish to embed.

     
  2. Click Share.

     
  3. Select Embed.

     
  4. Copy this link – you will need it in Step 8.

     
  5. Click on the Media Tab in ask.PLCSCOTCH FAQ you are creating.

     
  6. Select + Add Media Item.

     
  7. Choose a Display Title for this Clip.
