Online text books:

  • Often built in formative assessment e.g. Pearson Assess.

  • Some question banks are not able to be modified.

 

TEDEd 

  • Student must create own accounts.
  • Editing of personal, public and copyright video.
  • High quality existing video in library (many Ted talks).
  • Embedded into various tools (TA, LibGuides etc)
  • Can add formative and summative assessment
  • Create quiz overlaid onto video.
  • Feedback is clear and has an ability to track student progress through an activity.

Quizlet

  • Highly engaging concise and content specific 2-3 minute videos
