Q. Word gives me a 'compile error' when it opens, what do I do?

Answer
On some computers Word may give the Error "Compile error in hidden module: link" (shown in screenshot below).
By following these steps you can get rid of this error.
- Ensure Word
is closed.
- Open Finder and select the Go menu. Click on Go to Folder.
- Into this dialogue box that appears type (or copy and paste) this directory: ~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/User Content/Startup/Word/
- In this box you will see a file called linkCreation.dotm, Delete this File. Word
should now function correctly.
