Question

How do I clear the cache in Google Chrome?

Answer

Sometimes websites will not load, function, or let you log in because they are trying to run on old information in your browser's cache. Clearing your Cache will Ensure that these Websites Run Smoothly.

  1. Open Google Chrome  Preferences by clicking Chrome > Preferences in the menu bar.

  2. At the bottom of the Settings page that appears, click Show advanced settings...

  3. Under the Privacy heading that appears, click Clear Browsing Data...

  4. In the dialog box that pops up, select "the beginning of time" from the drop-down menu, and ensure that only the two boxes in the screenshot below are checked: Cookies and Other Site and Plugin Data, and Cached Images and Files. After these options have been selected, click Clear Browsing Data.
