What should I do if my laptop's fan is running high even when the lid is closed?
Your MacBook Air will often Get Hot and Require the Fan to Work Hard to keep the laptop cool when its under a High Work Load (e.g. running lots of applications at the same time) – this is Normal.
However, if your laptop is Hot and the Fan is Running Under a Low Work Load (i.e. no applications open) we suggest that Firstly you try Restarting your computer. If, after you have restarted, the fan is still running at a high rate it could be indicative of a problem.
If this is the case, please bring your laptop to 1Degree (JML) or the Tech Centre (SS) and we will have a look at it for you.
