Answer
Caffeine is a handy tool that is available to you that prevents your computer from going to sleep. It is available on Self Service
, but often comes installed on your Scotch laptop. A guide to using Self Service
can be found HERE.
To start Caffeine :
- Open the Caffeine
app. You will be presented with a settings window. Set the Duration for which you would like your computer to stay awake by using the drop down menu, then Click Close.
- To Enable Caffeine
, Click on the Coffee Cup icon on the menu bar so that it shows a Full Cup of steaming coffee. Your computer will now no longer fall asleep for the duration you set in step 1.
- To Disable Caffeine
, Click on the Coffee Cup icon on the menu bar so that it shows an Empty Cup. Your computer will now fall asleep as usual.
