You can change your Default Language within Word  by following the steps below.

1. Open Microsoft Word 2016.
    
2. Click on Tools.
   
    
3. Click on Language.
   
    
4. Select the Language you would like to be your default and the press the Default button.
   
    
5. Click the Yes button.
