Answer
- Books are ordered through Westbooks or Booktopia by the Teacher Librarians
- Once the books arrive, Teacher Librarians open the box and emails invoices via Desk.com
- Teacher Librarians enter purchase information, add YA stickers and cataloging notes on books as necessary
- Teacher Librarians place books on the Processing shelf
- Library Services Specialists process the books (barcode, stamp and date due slip)
- Library Services Specialists catalogue the books in Oliver via z-cataloging or manual cataloguing
- Library Services Specialists print spine labels, then place spine labels and genre labels on books
- Library Services Specialists place catalogued books in Covering Box
- Westbooks representative collects books to be covered. Library Services Specialists makes note of how many books are sent for covering
- Westbooks representative returns covered books. Library Services Specialists makes note of how many books are returned, then emails invoice via Desk.com and places books on Teacher Librarian's desk for promotion.
Notes:
- Westbooks and Booktopia are the preferred source for ordering books
