Open the Oliver app. If it does not appear in your dock, please email library@scotch.wa.edu.au

 

 

 

Make sure the Borrower button is selected. Scan the student’s name into the Borrow ID field.​

 

 

 

 

The student’s details will appear at the bottom of the screen

 

 

 

 

Scan the book’s barcode into the Item field. It will appear in the Current Loans.

 

 

 

 

You must press Finish when you have scanned all the books.  Otherwise, it will not scan the next borrower’s barcode and it will loan any further scanned books into the previous student’s name.

 

 

LOG-ON TROUBLESHOOTING

The computer has re-started and I don’t know the username/password.

  • You will only need a username/password to log onto the laptop
  • Have you searched your email for the “Home Readers Instructions” from the library?
  • Call the library Ext. 645 or 1 Degree Ext. 902


BORROW TROUBLESHOOTING

Loan not permitted. Barcode XXX is not in the catalogue.

  • Are you scanning the Scotch College barcode, not the ISBN?
  • Have you selected Borrow?
  • Have you scanned the student’s barcode first?
  • Have you have pressed Finish for the previous student?
  • Call the library Ext. 645 or 1 Degree Ext. 902

 

Student does not appear on barcode sheet

The scanner isn’t working!

  • Is this scanner plugged into the laptop?
  • Have you tried clicking the side button as you scan?
  • Have you tried unplugging and re-plugging the scanner?
