Your iPhone uses Location Services to work out your location using GPS, cellular networks, Bluetooth and WiFi to enhance the function of some apps. When active an Arrow Icon will appear in your status bar.

To help save battery life, you can turn off Location Services for some apps, here's how:

  1. Open your iPhone Settings .

  2. Select Privacy > Location Services.

  3. Select an App and choose either Never, Always, or While Using App.
If you select Always, the app will constantly use your location in the background which may use a lot of battery.
