Answer
If OneNote crashes when you try to open it, it usually means that its data has become corrupt. Reinstalling the application will not resolve this issue as it will not remove any data. To remove all OneNote
data, you will need to delete information from the containers folder.
- In Finder
, click the Go menu while holding the Option Key and select Library.
- Open the Containers folder.
- Delete the folder entitled com.microsoft.onenote.mac.
- Restart OneNote
and ensure that it opens as if the app is being launched for the first time. Log in.
NB – in some cases you may need to resolve conflict errors on OneNote Online before OneNote on your Mac can sync.
