Answer
If your iOS device is not producing sound when headphones are plugged in, the Volume Limit settings may be turned down.
- Open Settings
on your iOS device.
- Scroll down to Music
and open Volume Limit.
- Make sure that the Max Volume is high.
- Another way to find this is to search 'Volume' in the search bar, and select Volume Limit.

If your device is still not producing sound through headphones, and you have tried an Alternative Pair, please bring your device in to the Tech Centre.
