Answer
The new food room in the lighthouse is equipped with a projector, speakers for audio, an Apple TV to cast your device to, a portable microphone and an adjustable camera. To connect your device to suit your needs, follow the instructions below.
To play audio:
- There is an audio input plate that you can directly plug into to play music from your iPhone, iPad, tablet or phone. The volume for this is simply controlled by turning the volume up or down on your device to the desired level.
To project media:
- Turn on the system by Touching the touch screen control panel and wait for the projector to power on.
- Connect your laptop using the HDMI to mini DP cable.
- Tap the Wallplate button.
- If playing audio use the
and
buttons to Increase or Decrease the Volume.
- If you need to stop displaying image use the Image Mute
button to stop projection. This will not stop any media on your computer.
- If you need to stop displaying image use the Image Mute
- To turn the system off, press the Shutdown button.
- Press the Shutdown icon to Confirm the system shutdown.
To connect using Airplay:
- Turn On the projector using the wall console.
- Select the Wireless input.
- Instructions on how to connect your device to Airplay can be found here.
- If playing audio use the
and

button to stop projection. This will not stop any media on your computer.

- To turn the system off, press the Shutdown button.
- Press the Shutdown icon to Confirm the system shutdown.
To use the wireless microphone:
- Locate the microphone and battery pack located in the marked cupboard beneath the projector.
- Attach the battery pack to your belt or pants, and comfortably place the microphone around the back of your ears.
- Turn the microphone on using the Switch on the battery pack.
- Your voice will mix in with any audio playing through any of the other systems within the room. This cannot be adjusted.
- Once you are done using the microphone, switch the pack Off and place the battery pack back into the Cradle in the cupboard. The Blue Light indicates when the pack is charging.
To use the camera:
The camera located above the cooking bench top can be used to project the teacher workspace to the board so that students can easily view the cooking process.
- Turn On the projector using the wall console.
- Select the Camera input.
- Adjust where you would like the camera to be facing using the 4 Preset options.
- If you need to stop displaying image use the Image Mute
button to stop projection.
- If you need to stop displaying image use the Image Mute
- To turn the system off, press the Shutdown button.
- Press the Shutdown icon to Confirm the system shutdown.
