The end of year procedures for the Scotch libraries' non-teaching staff are outlined below.

 

  1. Print overdue RM reading books by class and give to the teacher for checking
  2. Print/email teachers and EAs their overdues
  3. Check that boys leaving the College have returned all library resources
  4. Check that staff leaving the College have returned all library resources

     

  5. Set term/holiday dates for the following year in Library Management System (LMS) (Senior Librarian)

     

  6. Email any repairs through to Facilities

     

  7. Clear/update Desk tickets

     

  8. Lock away equipment

     

  9. Shelve all returned books and books from displays, and put book stands away in cupboards/drawers

     

  10. Clear all table tops and shelf tops ready for the cleaners

     

  11. Clean all vinyl furniture with warm soapy water

     

  12. Clear lost property box, returning labelled items to the boys and unlabelled items to main lost property

     

  13. Stack all chairs, stools, tables and bean bags, and unlock booth seats for cleaning

     

  14. Clear benches/desks

     

  15. Empty fridge and clean kitchen area

     

  16. Turn off equipment and machines including the coffee machine in the Senior Library

     

  17. Bring in verandah tables and chairs (Senior Library)
