How do I add page numbers to a word document?


Answer

To add page numbers on your Microsoft Word  document, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Insert tab.
  2. Find and select the Page Number icon.
  3. The options for page numbering will be displayed. This also allows you to Exclude a page number on the first page. After you press OK, the pages will be numbered. 
  4. If you want to start numbering pages after a certain page (eg. numbering starts on the second page), click on the Format button.
    1. Then select Start at and enter the page you want to start numbering at.
