Answer

You can access the Staff Shared Drive through NoMAD . This replaces the former Scotch Files  method of accessing Staff Shared.

  1. You can locate NoMAD  by either of the following methods:
    • Open Spotlight (Command + Space) and search for 'NoMAD'.

    • Open Launchpad  by pressing F4 or clicking the icon in the dock. If you cannot find NoMAD  on your system, please contact the Tech Centre ASAP.

  2. The NoMAD icon should then appear in the top left-hand corner of your Menu Bar. This will look like a black triangle with a green tick in it. Click on the icon to access the options for NoMAD .

  3. To access the Staff Shared folder, click on the Department Shares option, which should then show 'Staff Shared'.

  4. When you click on Staff Shared, you will be prompted to log in, and the Staff Shared Server will load in Finder

PLEASE NOTE: If you do not have access to the folders that you need or do not see the Department Shares option in NoMAD, contact the Tech Centre immediately

  5. You will now be able to access Staff Shared through Finder  as before. When your Wi-Fi network changes (i.e. between school and home networks) or when your computer is restarted, you will need to repeat this process.

N.B. You still need to be connected to the PLCScotch Wi-Fi network to access Staff Shared in this way. If you are off campus but still need to access Staff Shared, you can still go through My Files on home.SCOTCH.
