Answer

Scotch will now be using the NoMAD  application to change user passwords, instead of the PLCScotch Password Change  application. Staff members must change their passwords in week 3 of every term.

  1. You can locate NoMAD  by either of the following methods:
    1. Open Spotlight (Command + Space) and search for 'NoMAD'.

    2. Open Launchpad  by pressing F4 or clicking the icon in the dock. If you cannot find NoMAD  on your system, please contact 1 Degree or the Tech Centre ASAP.

  2. The NoMAD icon should then appear in the top left-hand corner of your Menu Bar. This will look like a black triangle with a green tick in it. Click on the icon to access the options for NoMAD .

  3. To change your password, click on the option, 'Change Password', which will open a small window. Instructions for your new password can be found by pressing the '?' icon at the bottom of the window.

  4. Ensure your passwords contains at least; 1 upper case letter, 1 lower case letter and 1 number.
Please also ensure that your password does not contain the word Scotch, have your Birthday or your Name in it. You will see a green light next to your new password if it is accepted.

  5. You should see this message if your password change was successful.

If you see an error message appear, or it doesn't come up with the image above, Restart Your Computer. Then try to log in using the new password. If you can't log in using the new password, send an email to 1Degree@scotch.wa.edu.au or visit the 1Degree desk in the Junior Middle Library, or the Senior Library
