Question

How do I print in colour?

Answer

The school provides many printers/photocopiers, which are located in various positions throughout the school. You can determine whether your document is printed in black & white or colour, depending on the printer you select. Scotch's printers are PLCScotch Colour or PLCScotch Black whereas PLC's printers are PLC Black and PLC Colour.

The PLCScotch Printer (Scotch) system ensures that once you've selected your printer preference, then you can go to ANY Ricoh printer in the school, type in your details, and your document will be there ready for printing!

The PLC Printer system ensures that once you've selected your printer preference, then you can go to ANY Kyocera printer in the school, type in your details, and your document will be there ready for printing!

  • Please be aware that if you are printing a large document then it will take longer to send all the data to the printer. In this case, make sure you have strong network connection and that you don't close your document straight away.

To print in colour:

  1. Open your document.

  2. Select File > Print.

  3. Click on the drop down menu next to the word Printer.

  4. Select PLCScotch Colour or PLC Colour.

  5. Press Print

  • Please note that the printing queue is cleared every day at midnight. If you choose to print something then you will need to print it off before midnight that day. It will not be available the next day.
You will have to File > Print again.
