Why am I unable to browse the web in Google Chrome?


If the web works in Safari  and Firefox , but not in Google Chrome , check for the Browsec plugin. It is a plugin that helps students avoid our filtering systems, so we have blocked its usage on our network.

  1. Identify it first by going to Google Chrome  > Preferences.

  2. Once you've reached the Preferences page, click Extensions.

  3. Look for any extensions which suggest VPN tunneling services such as BrowsecRemove the appropriate extension(s) by clicking on the Trash icon.

  4. By disabling the extension(s), you should be able to fix the browsing issues. If this does not fix your browsing issue please contact 1Degree.
