If you are creating a document with a number of images that you have cropped or edited your file size may be larger than it needs to be. You can easily reduce the size of your file through the File menu in Word Reducing the file size of your document may help it Print faster.


The following instructions will show you how to reduce your file size in Word 


  1. In the top menu select File then chose Reduce File Size... in the drop down menu 

  2. In the following dialog box, make sure Best for printing (220 ppi) is selected as well as the tick box for Remove Cropped Picture Regions then select OK.

  3. Wordwill then process the document and Reduce the File Size.
